McKINNEY (Jan. 7, 2015) — Medical Center of McKinney (MCM) will celebrate the grand opening of its new provider-based emergency department, ER at Stonebridge, on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a “Frosted” community event.

The family-focused event will feature live reindeer, a photo booth, a caricature artist and a snow queen that will mingle with guests, as well as kid-friendly ER tours, and giveaways. Attendees will also enjoy hot chocolate and Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

The event will be held at the ER at Stonebridge located at 8995 W. University Dr. (corner of U.S. Hwy. 380 and Custer Rd.) in McKinney. The new ER will open on Wednesday, Jan. 21.

The ER at Stonebridge, a department of Medical Center of McKinney, will be a full-service emergency room staffed with board-certified and board eligible emergency physicians open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The ER at Stonebridge will have 12 private patient rooms including a trauma/code room, an isolation room, and two pediatric themed rooms; laboratory services; imaging services including CT, X-ray and ultrasound; and on-site blood bank.  If needed, on-call specialists and consultation services will be provided by hospital medical staff, with admission to the Medical Center of McKinney for inpatient services should conditions require further hospital care.
