Bryce Emory of Northern Illinois defeated Sarosh Adi of TCU on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the individual title at the Jim West Intercollegiate, held April 8-9 at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney.
Adi was able to make it the playoff by shooting a 1-under-par 71 in the final round to finish in a tie with Emory, who shot 1-over-par 73 on his last round. Adi's three-round total was 74-71-71-216 and Emory was 71-72-73-216.
Stuart Smallwood of Texas State and Hunter Stewart of Vanderbilt finished in a tie for third, 1 stroke back.
Stewart did lead his school to the team title as Vanderbilt won by seven strokes, shooting a combined 21 over par 885 for the three-round tournament. Oral Roberts was second with 892 and Arkansas-Little Rock was third with 893. Two Texas-based schools were next; Texas State fourth with 894 and Stephen F. Austin fifth with 897. A total of 11 schools competed in the tournament.
