The Courts at Gabe Nesbitt Community Park will host a 1-year anniversary event on Saturday, March 23, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the complex located at 3253 Alma Rd. in McKinney.
The first anniversary event will include live music, food, bounce houses, face painting and tennis competitions. The first 150 guests will receive a free gift bag. Bring your gently used athletic shoes and children's books to receive a raffle ticket. Items will be donated to a local charity.
In its first year, the USTA recognized The Courts at Gabe Nesbitt Community Park as the 2012 Featured Facility Award winner, the organization’s highest honor. The courts was also honored as one of seven winners of the USTA’s 31st annual Outstanding Facility Awards Program, recognizing excellence in the construction and/or renovation of tennis facilities throughout the country.
The tennis complex features a modern 3,500 square foot clubhouse with a wrap-around patio, 11 lit courts including a signature stadium court with a spectator viewing area and room for special events.
