Fans will have their first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets for the 2013 Frisco RoughRiders regular season at the Dr Pepper Ballpark box office beginning on Saturday, March 23. Starting on that date, the box office will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday.
The RoughRiders will play 71 games at Dr Pepper Ballpark in 2013, the first coming on Tuesday, April 2 (7 p.m.) when the Triple-A Round Rock Express travel to Frisco for the 2013 Future Rangers Showcase. The official home opener will be on Thursday, April 11 (7 p.m.) against the Arkansas Travelers. Tickets are also available for the Independence Day home game (7 p.m.) versus the Travelers.
Fourteen games will be followed by fireworks shows at Dr Pepper Ballpark this season, including every Friday night home game in addition to Opening Day, July 4 and July 6. Every RoughRiders game includes high quality entertainment in addition to the terrific baseball played by the Rangers’ Double-A prospects.
Last season the RoughRiders led all Double-A teams in attendance for the eighth consecutive year and averaged more than seven thousand fans per home game. In 2012, Frisco ranked 14th in attendance out of the 160 teams in Minor League Baseball, surpassing 18 Triple-A squads.
