Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) honored senior Samantha Snyder who signed a Letter of Intent to continue her education and play volleyball at Ouachita Baptist University.
Head of School, Dr. Larry Taylor, commended Snyder for her achievements. “At Prestonwood Christian Academy our goal is that students would enter the classroom or athletic field being challenged to go above and beyond. I am very pleased to be a part of the ceremony today and want to commend Samantha, as well as her parents, teachers and coaches as we celebrate the next step of her journey.”
Serving as varsity volleyball co-captain, Snyder had a solid season with 14 kills, 18 aces, 308 assists and 81 digs. Prestonwood’s team advanced to the regional match of TAPPS playoffs before being eliminated in the fifth game against Tomball Concordia Lutheran in Temple on Nov. 5.
“I am proud of this student athlete that we are honoring here today,” said PCA’s Athletic Director, Chris Cunningham. “Samantha is not only athletically talented, but she has a heart for the Lord! We are excited that she is going on to play at Ouachita and will continue to impact the culture for Jesus Christ.”
