McKinney North 45, Greenville 7

McKinney North thumped Greenville, 45-7, Friday at Ron Poe Stadium. The Bulldogs (4-4, 3-2) jumped out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and were never threatened.

Ronald Jones scored three rushing TDs for North and quarterback Ben Dutze threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another. Bulldog kicker Raul dela Rosa booted a 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

North held Greenville (0-8, 0-5) to less  than 170 yards of total offense.

Allen 49, McKinney Boyd 26

McKinney Boyd fell to Allen, 49-26, Friday in a battle for first place in District 10-5A.

The Broncos (4-4, 2-1) trailed Allen  28-20 in the third quarter before the Eagles (8-0, 3-0) pulled away with three straight touchdowns.

Allen quarterback Kyler Murray threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns, and he rushed for two more scores.

Boyd's Dedrick Scrivens rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown, and teammate Mahlieke Boseman scored twice -- one on a 94-yard pass from Curtis Ladd.

Plano West 38, McKinney High 20

McKinney fell to Plano West, 38-20, Thursday at Ron Poe Stadium, dropping its record to 3-5 overall, 0-3 in District 10-5A.

McKinney battled back from a 25-7 deficit to trail 25-20 in the fourth quarter after Tyree Johnson's second touchdown of the game.

Tommy Candela had over 100 yards rushing for the Lions, and Dalon Willis topped 100 yards receiving.

Marcus Cross caught a touchdown pass from Brian Cooper in the second quarter for McKinney's second score.
