McKinney North's Ronald Jones (24) was back in action Friday at Ron Poe Stadium.

 

McKinney North (6-1, 3-1) rallied from a 10-7 halftime deficit to best McKinney, 28-16, Friday at Ron Poe Stadium.

The Bulldogs' Ronald Jones, back from an ankle injury, rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns, including a 73-yard romp that put North up, 21-10, in the third quarter.

North's Kirvin Parks had a 50-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter, followed by a 28-yard TD reception by Rickey Fantroy for McKinney (2-5, 1-3). Bulldog quarterback Nick Hutchins and Lion running back Walker Torrain each collected a rushing touchdown. McKinney's Kyle Robinson kicked a 24-yard field goal in the second quarter.

McKinney Boyd routed Plano, 29-7, in an important District 6-6A matchup Thursday at Ron Poe Stadium.

Broncos receiver Jeremiah Campbell caught two touchdown passes from Grant Restmeyer en route to 119 receiving yards and six catches on the night. Dedrick Scrivens rushed for two touchdowns and nearly 100 yards in the win.

The Broncos' defense smothered Plano's rushing attack, allowing just 64 yards. The Wildcats (5-3, 4-2) trailed, 19-0 at halftime.

Boyd (4-3, 3-2) travels to face Flower Mound Marcus (4-3, 3-2) next Friday.
