North's Micah Baulicex (25) stiff-arms a Leopard defender Friday.

McKinney North (5-1, 2-1) rallied to defeat Lovejoy, 59-52, Friday at Ron Poe Stadium.

Bulldog Anthony Grogan returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 45-45 in the fourth quarter.

Replacing the injured Ronald Jones for a second week, North running back Micah Baulicex rambled for 186 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, McKinney High fell to previously winless Sherman, 21-14, at Bearcat Stadium.

Sherman's Tyson Jones rolled to 142 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He also caught a 48-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7-7 in the first quarter.

The Lions (2-4, 1-2) opened the scoring with a 44-yard touchdown pass from Brian Sutter to Rickey Fantroy.

The game was tied, 14-14, at halftime. Antonio Oliver led McKinney with 145 yards rushing and one TD.

 

Boyd had a bye and did not play.
