McKinney North's Ronald Jones sets sail on a 70-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

McKinney North rolled past Little Elm, 49-35, Thursday night at Ron Poe Stadium. Quarterback Nick Hutchins scored five touchdowns – three passing and two rushing – to lead the 2-0 Bulldogs.

North's Ronald Jones ran for 129 yards and two TDs, including one from 70 yards out.

The Bulldogs travel to Richardson Friday to face the Pearce Mustangs.

McKinney Boyd's Dedrick Scrivens celebrates Friday after one of his four touchdowns against Coppell.

McKinney Boyd's Dedrick Scrivens rushed for a school-record 370 yards Friday, as the Broncos topped Coppell, 28-21, at Ron Poe Stadium.

With the win, both Boyd's and Coppell's records moved to 1-1 for the season.

The Broncos begin district play Friday, hosting No. 1-state-ranked Allen.

McKinney fell to Frisco Liberty, 28-0, on the road Friday. The Lions were slowed by four turnovers, including an interception returned for a touchdown. McKinney's record stands at 1-1.

The Lions face Carrollton Newman Smith Thursday at Ron Poe Stadium.
