McKinney North wide receiver Kirvin Parks and the Bulldogs had a big night versus Carrollton Newman Smith.

McKinney North trounced Carrollton Newman Smith, 45-16, Thursday in the season-opener for both teams. Quarterback Nick Hutchins threw four touchdown passes, two to Kirvin Parks, to lead the Bulldogs. North hosts Little Elm Thursday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m.

McKinney's Walker Torrain rolls through Richardson Pearce defenders Friday at Ron Poe Stadium.

The McKinney Lions opened the 2014 season Friday with a 26-21 win over Richardson Pearce at Ron Poe Stadium. Running back Walker Torrain led the Lions with 31 carries for 185 yards and two touchdowns. McKinney travels to Frisco on Friday, Sept. 5, to face the Liberty Redhawks.

McKinney Boyd's Broncos fell at Mesquite Horn Friday, 21-15. Boyd running back Dedrick Scrivens rushed for over 90 yards and quarterback Grant Restmeyer threw a touchdown pass in the loss. The Broncos meet the Coppell Cowboys next Friday at Ron Poe Stadium.
