Week 2 of the 2013 football season for the three McKinney ISD high schools was held on Sept. 12-13.

McKinney 20, Irving Nimitz 10

McKinney knocked off Irving Nimitz, 20-10, on Friday, improving its season record to 2-1.

Tommy Candela, Dalon Willis and Tyree Johnson each scored rushing touchdowns for the Lions.

McKinney trailed at halftime, 10-7.

Frisco Centennial 43, McKinney North 27

Also on Friday, McKinney North fell to Frisco Centennial, 43-27. Ronald Jones scored two rushing touchdowns for the Bulldogs and quarterback Ben Dutze added two TD passes in the fourth quarter.

With the loss, North's record moves to 1-2. After a bye this week, the Bulldogs begin district play on Sept. 26 versus Sherman.

McKinney Boyd 51, Garland 9

McKinney Boyd romped past Garland, 51-9, on Thursday at Ron Poe Stadium for its first win of the season.

Dedrick Scrivens led the Broncos (1-2) with four rushing touchdowns and a touchdown catch.

Boone Tate, Robert Noren and Paxton Larson each had an interception for Boyd.
