McKinney High School

McKinney fell to Plano, 38-21, on Friday in the district opener for both teams.

Quarterback Robert Somborn threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns, and Red Shannon and Connor Fuentes each had 100-yard receiving games, to lead the Lions (4-2, 0-1).
Plano (4-2, 1-0) led, 24-14, at halftime. McKinney fumbles led to two Plano scores.

McKinney North High School

The Bulldogs played undefeated Lovejoy close on Friday before falling, 24-17.

The score was tied, 7-7, late in the second quarter when Lovejoy (6-0, 3-0) connected on a 75-yard touchdown pass and a field goal to lead, 17-7, at the break. Ronald Jones led North (1-5, 1-2) with over 100 yards rushing.

McKinney Boyd High School

Boyd blasted Plano West, 55-28, on Friday as both teams opened district play. It was the Broncos' fourth straight win.

Bryan Driskell rushed for 200 yards and scored four touchdowns to pace Boyd (4-2, 1-0). Plano West (3-3, 0-1) trailed, 27-7, at halftime.
