The McKinney Lions defeated Frisco Heritage, 45-21, on Thursday to improve their record to 2-0.

Red Shannon scored two first-half touchdowns for McKinney, including a 52-yard scoring pass from quarterback Robert Somborn.

Jontrell Rocquemore and Dalton Harris each returned an interception for a touchdown for the Lions. 

McKinney's TV Williams caught touchdown passes of 62 and 48 yards in the second half.

Lions starting running back Tommy Candela left the game with an injury in the second quarter and did not return. KLAK 97.5 FM reported that the injury involved his collarbone.
