McKinney High School
The McKinney Lions improved their record to 3-0 with a 42-7 win at Irving Nimitz on Friday.
McKinney quarterback Robert Somborn threw for 295 yards and five touchdowns. TV Williams had nine catches for 140 yards and three touchdowns for the Lions, and Red Shannon added 114 yards rushing.
The Lions' defense held Nimitz to less than 200 yards of total offense.
McKinney faces North Garland (1-2) next week on the road.
McKinney Boyd High School
McKinney Boyd defeated Garland, 31-21, on Friday for its first win of the season.
Bronco running back Bryan Driskell rushed for over 200 yards and had a kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter.
The game featured four lead changes, with Driskell's 50-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter icing it for Boyd.
Boyd (1-2) plays Rockwall (1-2) at home next week.
McKinney North High School
McKinney North lost to Frisco Centennial, 42-21, at home on Friday, dropping the Bulldogs' record to 0-3.
Centennial quarterback Lamar Jordan accounted for five touchdowns, four in the first half as the Titans built a 35-0 lead.
Trey Smith's 38-yard touchdown run drew North to within 35-14 before halftime.
The Bulldogs have a bye next week and begin district play on Sept. 28 at Sherman.
