McKINNEY (Sept. 24, 2014) — The City of McKinney has announced the hiring of Rhoda Savage as the Director of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department. Savage will begin Monday, Oct. 6.
Savage most recently served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Cedar Hill, Texas and prior to that, held the same position at the cities of Highland Village and Allen, Texas. She has 25 years of municipal experience including 18 combined years as Director of Parks and Recreation.
"I look forward to working with staff and partnering with engaged citizens to create innovative and responsible parks and recreation opportunities for the City of McKinney," said Savage.
Ryan Mullins has been promoted to the new position of Assistant Director of PROS and Recreation Superintendent. Mullins has worked for the City of McKinney for 26 years.
