As Bubba Watson’s fame explodes, McKinney businesses and residents enjoy the benefits of having several public and private golf courses to choose from. We even have bragging rights to McKinney native Hunter Mahan, who tied for 12th in this year’s major championship!

With four private and three public courses, McKinney attracts players like Beckham attracts the paparazzi.

Members of McKinney’s private golf courses invite guests from all over the country to play one of America’s favorite sports. McKinney draws players because of the variety of quality courses available in a community that supports the sport with retail, entertainment and lodging.

Stonebridge Ranch Country Club alone offers 45 holes of golf, two clubhouses, two fitness facilities, nine tennis courts and two swimming pools.

Simply stated, when it comes to golf, McKinney has something for everyone. Tournaments attract players, support businesses and generate revenue.

Matt Mitchell, Director of Golf at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club, says: “The Pete Dye Course is the only Signature Pete Dye Course in the state of Texas. It has hosted many prestigious events, such as the NCAA Championship, the Texas State Open, PGA Tour Qualifying School and U.S. Open qualifiers.”

The Chamber invites you to enjoy the Signature Pete Dye Golf Course during the 15th Annual McKinney Chamber Golf Classic.

  • This event will be held June 4, with two start times, 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Lunch and dinner will be served, with an awards ceremony to wrap up the day.
  • Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
