Dancing with the Smiths was held Friday, May 10 at the Omni Dallas Hotel and kicked off the fourth annual Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational weekend. Dancing with the Smiths included a live show and dinner that featured friends of Emmitt’s from his two seasons on Dancing with the Stars.

Deion Sanders started the festivities off joking about how he was a talented dancer in the end zone back in the day saying, “Has everyone forgotten what a great dancer Deion Sanders was?” Hosts for the evening Melissa Rycroft-Strickland and Tony Dovolani then welcomed the crowd and talked about winning the Dancing with the Stars All-Stars Mirror Ball Trophy. Guests enjoyed performances by the professional dancers from Studio 22, the Dallas-based dance studio where Emmitt Smith has trained. Rycroft-Strickland and Dovolani also joined in the fun dancing the Samba. But, the surprise of the night was a performance from Pat Smith herself! Later in the evening Emmitt joined Pat on the dance floor. The event culminated with a live auction and music from Emerald City.

The festivities resumed on Saturday morning with an 18-hole celebrity golf tournament at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney.
