McKINNEY (May 16, 2014) — Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge as Dallas Dodgeball will host the Dodge Domestic Abuse Dodge Bowl Tournament on Saturday, July 19 at Sole Roll Indoor Soccer, 4435 McEwen Rd. in Dallas. The event will feature round robin tournament play with first, second and third place teams awarded medals.

All teams are welcome to participate, including existing dodgeball teams, corporate sponsored teams, restaurant and club-sponsored teams, office teams, family teams, church teams, sorority and fraternity teams, police and firefighter teams and more. Open to all area, national and international teams.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Hope’s Door. Hope’s Door is a shelter and counseling center that offers comprehensive programs and services designed to help break the cycle of domestic violence to families in Collin County, Dallas County and surrounding areas. Since it’s inception in 1986, Hope’s Door has provided emergency shelter for over 6,000 women and their children, answered more than 30,000 crisis line calls. Counseling and education programs are also offered to community members affected by domestic violence.

Registration and event sponsorship opportunities are available online at dallasdodgeball.com. Cost is $120 for a team of seven players, at least one player must be female. Open to ages 14 and over.
