Week 1 of the 2013 football season for the three McKinney ISD high schools was held on Sept. 5-6.

Coppell 49, McKinney Boyd 24

McKinney Boyd fell to No. 8-ranked Coppell Friday at Ron Poe Stadium, dropping its season record to 0-2.

Broncos quarterback Curtis Ladd threw a career-high 43 pass attempts, completing 18 for 240 yards, in the loss.

Andrew Smith booted three first half field goals for Boyd.

Prosper 59, McKinney North 48

McKinney North lost at Prosper on Friday, moving its season mark to 1-1. Ronald Jones scored four touchdowns for the Bulldogs en route to another 200-yard rushing night.

Quarterback Ben Dutze threw three touchdown passes for North.

McKinney High 28, Frisco Heritage 14

The McKinney Lions defeated Frisco Heritage on Thursday for their first win of the 2013 football season.

Antonio Oliver led McKinney (1-1) with almost 200 yards rushing and a touchdown. TV Williams had two touchdown catches for McKinney.
