
McKinney Boyd 57, Lewisville 7
McKinney Boyd blasted Lewisville, 57-7, on Friday, to improve its record to 2-3. The Broncos led, 28-0, at the half.
Boyd quarterback Curtis Ladd threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns -- one to Dedrick Scrivens who also scored three rushing touchdowns.
The Broncos posted over 500 yards of total offense in the win. Boyd now has a bye and will begin District 10-5A play on Friday, Oct. 11 at Plano West.
Denton Ryan 49, McKinney High 20
McKinney was thumped by Denton Ryan, 49-20, on Friday, dropping its season mark to 3-2.
The Lions trailed, 42-0, at halftime.
McKinney quarterback Brian Sutter tossed two touchdown passes in the second half, one to Marcus Cross, the other to TV Williams.
Tyree Johnson had a late rushing TD for the Lions.
McKinney also has a bye this week and will begin district play on Thursday, Oct. 10 versus Plano.
Sherman 55, McKinney North 44
McKinney North dropped its District 13-4A opener to Sherman on Thursday, 55-44, at Ron Poe Stadium.
The Bulldogs (1-3) trailed, 21-0, in the first quarter but fought back to tie the score, 38-38, in the second half.
North had the ball, trailing 48-44, with three minutes left to play but a Sherman interception deep in Bulldog territory and subsequent touchdown sealed the outcome.
Nick Hutchins returned two interceptions for touchdowns for North.
The Bulldogs' first touchdown came on an 89-yard pass from Ben Dutze to Tre Sanders.
