InTouch Credit Union is proud to announce the rest of their 2013 schedule for their unique “Bank to Achieve” youth financial literacy program, with the next event will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at the McKinney Branch, located on 6375 Eldorado Parkway.

These events, held throughout basketball season, feature the opportunity for the public to meet, have fun and learn money management skills with Texas Legends basketballs players.

The Texas Legends are a part of the NBA D-League (development league), the official minor league of the NBA, as well as being an affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. A whopping 27 percent of NBA players who played in the 2011-2012 NBA season had previous D-League experience. The Plano-based credit union is additionally an official sponsor of the Texas Legends.

The events run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on select Saturday mornings at individual ITCU branches within the Collin County area. Each event features a player from the Texas Legends available for pictures or autographs. Complimentary tickets to an upcoming Legends game as well as financial workbooks for ages 0-10 and 11-18 are provided to all who attend the event; participants can also enter to win prizes from the Legends. Donuts, coffee and orange juice will be available and all activities provided at the event are provided free of charge.

Children, regardless of whether they participate in our Bank to Achieve event, are encouraged to enter our monthly coloring contest with the Texas Legends. The winner of our January coloring contest will receive tickets to a Legends game and will be recognized on court with a prize during the game on January 26. This month’s coloring page features Chip, ITCU’s mascot and Dunker, the Texas Legends mascot. Kids can complete a coloring page at any of our Texas branches, at our booth during any Legends home game or their parents can download it off of our website: https://www.itcu.org/events/coloring-contest-with-the-texas-legends.
