DALLAS – Michael Johnson Performance (MJP) will be hosting a comprehensive speed and agility camp for football athletes this summer. Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be on-site to share his insights on what it takes to be a successful football athlete.
Adrian Peterson is one of the most revered running backs in football history, shattering records and setting the pace for a Hall of Fame career, earning coveted honors and awards including: NFL MVP, NFL Offensive Player of the Year, NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, 2-time NFL Rushing Champion, 5-time Pro Bowl Selection, and Pro Bowl MVP.
By bringing together the talents and athleticism of the NFL's most exciting player with the fastest man in the world in Michael Johnson, youth athletes ages 9 to 18 years old, will have the unique opportunity to learn from the best. Campers will learn how to get in and out of cuts, how to reach top end speed quickly, develop explosive first steps and discover the work ethic necessary to dominate their position.
Peterson will be joined by the MJP Performance specialists, who prepared some of the nation's fastest athletes for the 2013 NFL Combine. The camp is non-contact and will focus on speed and agility specific to football.
This camp will take place on July 19-20. The cost to attend is $389. The first 100 athletes to enroll will receive a special price of $199. Interested youths should have their parents sign up quickly as space is limited and will be capped at 200 athletes. All camp attendees will receive a Nike Adrian Peterson camp shirt and have an opportunity to take photos and get an autograph at the conclusion of the camp.
