May 4 Kick-Off Bonanza Features Live Music, Giveaways, Outdoor Fun

McKinney-area Trinity Falls is hosting a May home tour to introduce new model homes, new builders and new amenities.

The “Here We Grow Again” tour opens May 1 and continues through May 31. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Visitors will be able to visit 10 professionally decorated models, several of which have opened in the last few months. A number of inventory homes also will be open for touring. Admission is free.

“We have brought together a mix of builders who are offering a wide variety of homes for buyers at every levels,” said Robert Ditthardt, general manager of Trinity Falls. “Coupled with the new model homes and the recently opened amenities, this home tour serves as a re-grand opening for the community.”

A ribbon cutting will be held Friday, May 3, for Basecamp, the newest section of B.B. Owen Park to open. The park adds another playground and splash pad to the Trinity Falls amenity list, as well as an open-air pavilion. The park’s trail system also will be extended.

Community amenities will grow again in late 2020/early 2021 with the opening of a new amenity center, which will offer another pool, a fitness center, event lawn, clubhouse and playground.

“Johnson Development communities are known for their lavish amenities and Trinity Falls will be no different,” Ditthardt said.

On May 4, the public is invited to a home tour kick-off party noon to 5 p.m. at 705 Lost Woods Way. Activities include a kids’ fishing derby, a photo wall, a nature hike through B.B. Owen Park at 2 p.m. with a resident master naturalist, disc golf lessons throughout the day and a bounce house playground. Multiple food trucks will be on hand and event-goers can enjoy wine and beer tastings and other activities at the model homes. The Breckenridge Band, who recently performed at an NCAA Women’s Final Four tournament celebration, will entertain the crowd.

At 3 p.m., Hugs Café Greenhouse will give a butterfly presentation. The group also will be selling plants from their nearby greenhouse during the event. Visitors to model homes will be able to have their punch cards marked for their chance to win a Big Green Egg, Downtown McKinney shopping package or a $100 Buc-ee’s gift card.

Admission to the kick-off celebration is free, but people are asked to pre-register at
