Oncor is committed to a greener, healthier world. Trees around homes will not only help reduce the amount of energy your home requires, but they also add to your property value, reduce your carbon footprint, improve the air quality and more effectively catch stormwater runoff.

For the seventh summer in a row, Oncor is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation to offer all homeowners in its service territory two free shade trees for planting in the fall of 2018. This year’s program is offering 8,000 free trees on a first-come, first-served basis.

Customers can claim their free trees by visiting ArborDay.org/Oncor. at the link below

A major cause of power outages is from trees contacting power lines. Besides causing power outages, trees can threaten public safety and property if planted in the wrong location. Proper planning and choosing the right tree for the right location can minimize risks. To help you make an informed decision, check out our Know Before You Grow Program at the link below.
