UPDATE: Tucker Hill's Saturday Event Rescheduled for June 13
Tucker Hill made the following announcement on Saturday morning, May 14:
We have made the difficult decision to reschedule this Saturday’s (May 16) “Courtyards, Concerts & Cars” to Saturday, June 13 – same time and place.
The rain has obviously saturated not only our gardens on tour, but also the green space in Founders Square and even if we get no more rain, we are concerned that things will not dry out enough to accommodate hundreds of people walking and seeking a dry spot to spread out a blanket. In addition, as of right now, all weather forecasts are warning of severe weather that could hit on Saturday, late afternoon and early evening.
We appreciate anything you can do to help us spread the word – sharing our social media posts, updating your calendars, etc. Our hope is that by June 13, this weather pattern will lift and we’ll enjoy a beautiful sunny event!
McKINNEY (April 9, 2015) — Tucker Hill, a new home community with historically reminiscent architecture in McKinney, invites the public to join our residents on Saturday, May 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for “Courtyards, Concerts & Cars.” This event will feature a free “old meets new” car show, a free outdoor concert featuring the classic rock sounds of Six of the Matter, and a tour of five Courtyard Gardens with $5 paid admission that benefits Community Lifeline, a local non-profit helping families in need.
The entire event will be centered around Tucker Hill’s Founders Square – the community’s central gathering spot featuring a majestic wrought-iron fountain and meticulous landscaping. Guests will enjoy free hot dogs (while supplies last) and the Tucker Hill Hospitality Committee will raise funds for their activities by selling sodas, snacks and home-baked goodies.
The $5 admission, which can be purchased by cash/check only at the event, is only required for the Courtyard Garden Tour. Guests will enjoy not only supporting a local non-profit, but can also interact with Collin County Master Gardeners available in each garden to answer questions.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs to spread out on the grassy lawn and enjoy a picnic dinner (on us or bring your own) while listening to the concert. All guests who vote for their favorite car on display by 7:45 p.m. will be registered to win a $100 Calloway’s Nursery gift card.
Tucker Hill is located just north of U.S. Hwy. 380 between Ridge and Custer roads. Complimentary parking is available along our streets and in the resident pool parking lot. Complimentary golf cart shuttles will be available. For more details, go to tuckerhilltx.com.
