Local and regional singing talent will once again be showcased in the Second Annual McKinney Mash Up, a competition where vocalists compete for $2,500 and the opportunity to open for headliner country duo, Steel Magnolia, winners of CMT’s "Can You Duet."

“We have so much impressive vocal talent in McKinney and all of North Texas,” said Ty Lake, Director of the McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC). “I am excited to showcase these singers in front of the community while raising funds for MPAC.”

Competitors have until Oct. 11 to submit a performance audition video to the Mash Up contest website, accessible through MPAC’s website, TownSquareBuzz.com or NissanOfMcKinney.com. Contestants may enter as a solo performer or group performer.

Starting Oct. 12, voters can select their favorite acts online, and the finalists will perform on Nov. 3.
