McKINNEY (May 5, 2014) – The City of McKinney will kick off a Cultural Music Series of free outdoor concerts in May and June that begin at 6 p.m. at various McKinney Parks.

The line-up includes:

  • Saturday, May 17: Lara Latin, Latin Jazz music, Towne Lake Park
  • Saturday, May 24: Mariachi Michoacán, Mexican Folklorica music, Fitzhugh Park
  • Saturday, June 7: Watusi, World Reggae music, Finch Park
  • Saturday, June 21: Jimbe Afrique, African Folk music, Towne Lake Park

Admission and parking are free for all four events. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs or a picnic basket, but alcohol is not allowed in city parks.
