Guest performers Denis DiBlasio, Stockton Helbing, and the hard swingin’ Texas Instruments Jazz Band will join Collin College jazz groups and school bands in a weekend of celebrating jazz at the 21st annual Collin College Jazz Fest April 5-6 at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Events open to the public are as follows:

April 5

8 p.m. at John Anthony Theatre

Award-winning Collin College Jaztet One will kick off Jazz Fest with guest performers Denis DiBlasio, Stockton Helbing, and the Texas Instruments Jazz Band. $10 tickets available at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

April 6

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at John Anthony Theatre, Black Box Theatre and Conference Center

School jazz ensemble performances. Admission is free.

8 p.m. at John Anthony Theatre

Festival Award Concert featuring Denis and Stockton, award-winning Jazz Lab Band, and Collin College’s Latin Jazz Ensemble. Individual and group awards will be presented as well as student scholarships. $10 tickets available at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
