Wylie East 55, McKinney 10

Eno Benjamin rushed for over 300 yards and three touchdowns to lead Wylie East (7-1, 5-0) past McKinney on Friday afternoon at Ron Poe Stadium. Wylie East's offense totaled nearly 700 yards in the win.

Friday's action was a completion of a game that was postponed Thursday night before halftime due to local storms. The Raiders led in the contest, 21-7, when play was discontinued with six minutes left in the second quarter.

McKinney's lone TD came Thursday night, a 64-yard scoring pass from Tyree Johnson to Rickey Fantroy. Fantroy led Lions receivers with four catches for 90 yards.

Next, the Lions travel to face Prosper on Friday, Oct. 30.

Denison 52, McKinney North 49

Denison (5-3, 3-2) built a 52-35 lead in the third quarter, then held off McKinney North for an important District 10-5A win.

The Bulldogs (5-3, 2-3) led, 28-24, after one quarter.

North quarterback Christian Files threw for nearly 400 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Brennan Harris led Bulldog receivers with five catches for 156 yards and a touchdown. Yellowjacket quarterback Hunter Watson threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two more, amassing 425 yards of offense.

The district's top receiver, Denison's Steven Wagoner, had eight catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bulldogs, still with a path to the playoffs, play Sherman (1-7, 0-5) on Friday, Oct. 30, at Ron Poe Stadium.
