McKinney Boyd 42, Lewisville 31

McKinney Boyd (5-4 overall, 4-3 District 6-6A) edged closer to a playoff berth Thursday, topping Lewisville (4-5, 3-4) on the road.

Trailing 31-28 in the fourth quarter, the Broncos rallied for two touchdowns by running back Kaeden Markham, the last on a 37-yard run.

Boyd quarterback Grant Restmeyer threw four touchdown passes – three going to Stephen Driskell.

With a win next Thursday versus Hebron, Boyd will earn District 6-6A's fourth playoff spot. The top three seeds in the district – Allen (1), Flower Mound Marcus (2) and Plano East (3) – have already clinched playoff spots.

The Boyd-Hebron game is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at Ron Poe Stadium.

 

Prosper 59, McKinney 28

Prosper rolled past McKinney Thursday with four rushing touchdowns by Austin Lind. He also scored on a 66-yard pass from Easton Murrell.

The Eagles (5-4 overall, 3-3 District 10-5A) led, 42-21, at halftime.

McKinney's Matt Gadek had a 75-yard touchdown run in the loss, surpassing 1,000 yards on the season. Lions quarterback Tyree Johnson threw for 166 yards, with Joseph Robinson collecting five passes for 121 yards.

The Lions (3-6, 1-5) close out their season next Friday at Lovejoy.
