Coppell 34, McKinney Boyd 14

The Broncos (1-1) trailed Coppell, 20-0, in the third quarter Friday after Coppell's Cody Masters returned a fumble 16 yards for a touchdown.

The Cowboys (2-0) stretched the lead to 27-0 before Boyd got on the board with a 70-yard touchdown pass from Grant Restmeyer to Jeremiah Campbell.

Restmeyer threw for 240 yards in the loss. Brandon Bowling led Boyd receivers with seven catches for 104 yards.

The Broncos meet No. 1 Allen (2-0) Friday, Sept. 11.

McKinney North 51, Little Elm 10

K.J. Hart rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs (2-0) Friday. North quarterback Christian Files added two rushing touchdowns and threw for two more.

Miguel Hudson's second touchdown catch of the night gave the Bulldogs a 44-3 lead after three quarters. North's defense collected seven sacks in the win.

The Bulldogs host Richardson Pearce (2-0) Friday, Sept. 11.
