The Hebron Hawks defeated Boyd, 42-28, Thursday at McKinney's Ron Poe Stadium, earning District 6-6A's final playoff spot.

With the 14-point win, Hebron (4-6 overall, 4-4 district) eliminated the Broncos from the playoffs, ending Boyd's postseason streak at five years.

Quarterback Clayton Tune led the Hawks with 230 yards passing and three TDs.

Broncos quarterback Grant Restmeyer threw for 284 yards and four touchdowns, two each to Brandon Bowling and Jeremiah Campbell.

Hebron led, 26-21, at halftime. Boyd (5-5, 4-4) was penalized 12 times for 97 yards in the loss.

Besides Hebron, Allen, Flower Mound Marcus and Plano East will represent District 6-6A in post-season play.
