The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced that US 75 (Central Expressway) northbound and southbound at SH 121 in Melissa will be closed this weekend.

The closing will occur from 10 p.m. Saturday, May 3 through 4 a.m. Sunday, May 4.

Weather permitting, TxDOT plans to set bridge beams on the SH 121 bridge over US 75.


  • NORTHBOUND: Traffic will exit at north SH 121 (Exit 45) toward Bonham, continue just over a mile to SH 5 north, continue 3.5 miles to the Collin County Outer Loop and turn west and continue a mile to the US 75 intersection. Turn north on the frontage road and enter northbound US 75.
  • SOUTHBOUND: Traffic will exit at Davis Road/Telephone Road (Exit 44) and continue along the US 75 southbound frontage road through the Bloomdale Road intersection and enter the highway at the next entrance.

Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
