As part of the ongoing TxDOT project to widen U.S. 75 from the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) to White Avenue in McKinney, TxDOT has informed the City of the following closures:
- Northbound U.S. 75 Exit Ramp to U.S. 380 Closed on Thursday, Oct. 15
Weather permitting, TxDOT plans to close the northbound U.S. 75 exit ramp to U.S. 380 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, to install a guard rail. During the closure, drivers can exit to White Avenue or Wilmeth Road. The U.S. 75 main lanes and frontage roads will remain open throughout the day.
- Southbound U.S. 75 Entrance Ramp near Country Club Drive Closed Daily Starting Thursday, Oct. 15
Weather permitting, TxDOT plans to close the southbound U.S. 75 entrance ramp near Country Club Drive daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting on Thursday, Oct. 15 to install guard rail. Additional closures are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, and Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 19-21. During the closures, drivers can continue southbound to the entrance ramp near Ridgeview Drive in Allen. The U.S. 75 main lanes and frontage roads will remain open for this work.
As a reminder, this TxDOT construction project to widen U.S. 75 from the SRT to White Avenue in McKinney to four main lanes in each direction and three frontage road lanes in each direction will provide much needed extra capacity through McKinney. The project is anticipated to be complete in January 2016.
