Weather permitting, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 75 (Central Expressway) in order to set beams for the new Melissa Road bridge.

WHERE: U.S. 75 northbound and southbound at Melissa Road bridge just south of State Highway 121

WHEN: 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 to 7 a.m. Sunday, June 8.


  • NORTHBOUND: Traffic will take Exit 45 to State Highway 121 north to State Highway 5 north to the Collin County Outer Loop to U.S. 75 northbound.
  • SOUTHBOUND: Traffic will exit at Melissa Road (Exit 46), continue along the U.S. 75 southbound frontage road through the Bloomdale Road intersection and re-enter the highway.

Local law enforcement will assist with the traffic control in several locations including the Bloomdale Road intersection to keep traffic flowing on the frontage roads.

Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes. Motorists are urged to be mindful of construction personnel in the work zone.
