Weather permitting, TxDOT will close the southbound lanes and northbound lanes of U.S. 75 at Bloomdale Road in McKinney in order to demolish the existing westbound Bloomdale Road bridge. Bloomdale Road will also be closed and traffic detoured.
The closure will last from 8 p.m. on Friday, July 18 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.
- SOUTHBOUND: Traffic will exit at Bloomdale Road and follow the frontage road to the next entrance to U.S. 75 north of Wilmeth Road.
- NORTHBOUND: Traffic will exit at Bloomdale Road and re-enter the highway at the entrance ramp to the north of Bloomdale Road.
- BLOOMDALE ROAD: Traffic coming from the west headed for U.S. 75 will use Community Drive then head south to Wilmeth Road to U.S. 75. Traffic from the east will use Red Bud to Wilmeth Road to U.S. 75.
Local law enforcement will assist with the traffic control at the Bloomdale Road intersection to keep traffic flowing on the frontage roads.
Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
