Weather permitting, TxDOT will be closing north and southbound lanes of U.S. 75 for demolition of the existing Melissa Road Bridge.
The road work will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 and extend through 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17. The closing will affect U.S. 75 from Davis Road to SH 121 in Melissa
Northbound U.S. 75: Traffic will exit at Melissa Road (exit 46), continue along the frontage road without stopping through the intersections of Melissa Road, Throckmorton Road and the Collin County Outer Loop. Traffic will re-enter the highway at the entrance ramp north of the loop.
Southbound U.S. 75: Traffic will exit at Melissa Road (exit 46) and continue on the frontage road without stopping through the Melissa Road intersection and re-enter US 75 directly south of Melissa Road.
Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
