McKINNEY (Feb. 10, 2015) — Weather permitting, north and southbound mainlanes of U.S. 75 (Central Expressway) will be closed at Bloomdale Road in McKinney for bridge construction on the Bloomdale bridge.
This will begin at 5 a.m. and run through 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14.
Southbound traffic will exit at Bloomdale Road (Exit 42A) and continue for approximately .5 mile along the southbound frontage road, through the Bloomdale intersection without stopping. Traffic will then use the next entrance ramp to re-enter U.S. 75 southbound.
Alternating lanes of the northbound side will be closed at various times so there will not be a designated detour for the northbound side.
Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible.
