PROSPER (Nov. 21, 2014) — In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways and address congestion, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) approved a contract award for the reconstruction of U.S. 380 from the Denton County Line to County Road 73 (Lover’s Lane) in Prosper, Collin County. Construction includes building two interchanges, one at the Dallas North Tollway and one at State Highway 289 (Preston Road).

The contract for $57.9 million was awarded to Mario Sinacola and Sons Excavating, Inc.

“Like all of Texas, the urban areas of our state will continue to see rapid population growth,” said Commissioner Victor Vandergriff. “Relieving congestion on our roadways not only improves our quality of life, but also enhances economic opportunities. We are pleased to partner with state and local entities who share our vision of keeping Texas moving.”

Construction start dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractors.
