Weather permitting, TxDOT will be closing the left lane of SH 121 northbound between the exit from U.S. 75 to SH 121 northbound and SH 5.

The closures were originally scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18 and Friday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. However, the closure has been postponed until after the first of the year. Dates to come soon.

Then, various rolling highway closures on SH 121, both north and southbound in the same location will occur.

These closures are needed to prepare for a change in traffic configuration which will open a new direct connect ramp from southbound SH 121 to southbound U.S. 75.

U.S. 75 traffic headed to northbound SH 121 should exit at U.S. 380, go east to SH 5, go north and travel to SH 121. From here, traffic will be able to turn right onto SH 121 to continue north.

Traffic headed to SH 121 southbound should exit from SH 121 at FM 455 and go west on FM 455. At U.S. 75, turn south.

Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
