Texas Monthly Magazine is celebrating Texas Barbecue Week, July 15-19, presented by Texas Monthly BBQ and Shiner Beers.
This will be the first ever state-wide celebration of Texas barbecue. During the week-long celebration, Texans can visit participating barbecue joints to enjoy a featured “Texas Barbecue Week plate.” It’s a way to support the businesses that are working hard to preserve the barbecue tradition – and to eat some of the state’s best smoked meat.
McKinney's own Hutchins BBQ is among the restaurants participating. Their special is the all-you-can-eat barbecue for $16.59.
Hutchins is the only McKinney location that is featured in the celebration.
Two Dallas restaurants – Lockhart Smokehouse and Pecan Lodge – are also participating.
