The First Annual Hot Tech Chili Cook-Off benefits The WERX Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization that has the mission to build, grow and support small business in McKinney by providing start-ups with a dedicated collaborative work space, resources and educational programs, as well as fostering entrepreneurism in the community. We had so much fun at last year’s First Annual Chili Cook-off and this year we have taken into account a few things that went wrong and are correcting for this year…the biggest issue being that we needed more chili!”, said Christine Smith, Executive Director of The WERX Foundation. “This year we’ve increased the number of teams and we’ve added more chili from ‘Local Yocal’ that will be available by the bowl.”
Once again, The WERX chose The Love Life Foundation to partner with on the event. The mission of The Love Life Foundation is to expose the plight of at-risk children in our community and break the cycle of child abuse.
The Second Annual Hot Tech Chili Cook-Off is sponsored by TUPPS Brewery, The Cotton Mill of McKinney, and Local Yocal. Additional sponsorships are available. Contact Cindy Johnson at 214-417-5049 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about sponsorships.
