Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen’s dedication to nurses has earned the hospital Pathway to Excellence® redesignation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Texas Health Allen is the only hospital in Northern Collin County to earn the designation, which has been granted to only 94 hospitals nationwide.
“Redesignation signifies the positive work environment Texas Health Allen has created and maintained to support exceptional nurses providing exceptional care for our community,” said Jane Cook, M.S.N., R.N., CNAA-BC, chief nursing officer at Texas Health Allen. “Our teamwork allows for outstanding patient care.”
To achieve the Pathway to Excellence® designation hospitals must create an environment that supports nurses. Efforts to improve the quality of care provided to patients also are reviewed as are the hospital’s practices, policies and culture. Nurses at the hospital completed a survey discussing their satisfaction with Texas Health Allen and identifying it as a best place to work.
“We appreciate our nursing team taking the time to share their thoughts on their work at Texas Health Allen,” said Jeff Reecer, president Texas Health Allen. “We are pleased that the ANCC has recognized the dedication of our employees and the quality of care they provide each patient.”
