Craig Ranch Fitness & Spa Reopens with Rigorous Health and Safety Measures

MCKINNEY, Texas – Craig Ranch Fitness & Spa continues to prioritize the health, safety and peace of mind of its members and staff with the rollout of rigorous new cleaning and social distancing measures throughout the facility.

In accordance with recent executive orders, Craig Ranch welcomed back guests on May 18 with increased cleaning practices, limited hours, adjusted entrances, and social distancing measures, all adhering to or going above and beyond CDC guidelines.

Guests currently enter the complex through a streamlined entrance in the spa, where our community service team greets them behind plastic separators. Staff and guests alike are required to have their temperature checked before entering. For the time being, the club is operating under limited hours – 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, as well as closing from 2 to 3 p.m. every day for deep cleaning. The changes, on all accounts, have been swift and aggressive, with the goal to cultivate a clean and comfortable environment for all who enter.

Our commitment to maintaining a competitively clean facility has intensified with enhanced sanitation protocols, including ongoing wipe-downs of the fitness floor and studios with medical-grade disinfectant. Staff and members clean equipment before and after use and the number of cleaning stations stocked with disinfectant wipes, spray cleaners and hand sanitizer has more than doubled.

“We have scheduled cleaning staff on our fitness floor every hour on the hour...” said General Manager Jason Gann. “We are literally cleaning this place all day long.”

Social distancing measures have been put in place throughout the club, including new “Six Feet Apart” signage and increased spacing between equipment and workout areas. On the fitness floor, every other machine is closed and group X class sizes are limited, allowing for guests to spread out.

Over the past several weeks, other sectors of Craig Ranch have opened in waves. The facility’s 50-meter pool reopened on May 25 limiting four swimmers to a lane. Honeylu’s Coffee, located inside the club, reopened on June 1 with limited hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. This week, modified dressing rooms reopened to members as well, including access to our dry sauna.

The club’s in-house child care facility, the Youth Center, is open by appointment only from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. To help our children social distance, reservations are limited and play spaces are separated by age group.

For now, the basketball court, whirlpools, steam rooms and NormaTec recovery center remain closed in order to maintain social distancing.
