Learn how to create family-friendly food and flavors using cookware called a Tagine (pronounced tay-jean) but a Dutch oven will do! Join Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Cindy Kleckner as she explores the cuisine of Morocco which combines antioxidant-hearty cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, allspice, nutmeg and saffron. Sample traditional tagines, slow-cooked stews braised at low temperatures resulting in aromatic vegetables and sauce. Cindy will use a medley of winter vegetables and seasonings that are both healthful and delicious such as roast chicken with preserved lemon, fish with couscous and Chorba, a Moroccan Vegetable Soup. Don’t let the names intimidate……..this class will introduce you to your new family favorites!
