The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, John Abston Chapter, McKinney is looking for volunteers on Saturday, January 6 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Volunteers are needed to help remove wreaths from Veteran and and POW grave sites at Pecan Grove Cemetery, 1701 S. McDonald St, McKinney, and Ross Cemetery, located at the corner of El Dorado and McDonald Hwy 5, in McKinney. We will be removing wreaths from both cemeteries from the participation in Wreaths Across America event that took place in December. Gloves are recommended. Wreaths will be composted.

Each December, on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1200 additional locations, in all 50 states, at sea, and abroad.
