Wylie's Smith Library presents this event, designed to steer participants in how to research their heritage. Sessions include info about library resources, tips for how to look into family history, researching African-American, European, or Hispanic ancestry, preserving photos and more. There will be an opportunity to scan up to 10 family pictures and documents per person. The day will also include a local history presentation about Stonehaven, a 20th-century bungalow-style home built in 1912 by Collin County architect William Stone for his new bride, Charlotte Howard. Wylie Historical Society President Sandra Stone will give the presentation; the society is working with the City of Wylie to restore the home.
