Join in the Mckinney Home for the Holidays fun with Daniel Stampfel on the E. Louisiana outdoor stage - right outside our door! (inclement weather plan: our Filtered stage right inside)
In the past two decades, singer, songwriter, guitarist and saxophone player, Daniel Stampfel
has played in ska bands, written power-pop anthems, and bashed through sets with several
rock bands on the stages of NYC.
Stampfel first left a mark on the music world with the ska band, The Skastafarians, who won
Late Night with Conan O’Brien’s 10 th Annual College Band Search. When the Skastafarians
dissolved, Stampfel moved to New York City and assembled The Inevitable Breakups in 1999.
The band became beloved sons of NYC with their catchy, crunchy power-pop. In a self-fulfilling
prophecy, the Inevitable Breakups broke-up in 2007.
Stampfel spent a few years out of the spotlight, carefully crafting the songs that would launch
his band, At The Moment. He recorded a few of those tunes with Steve Schiltz of Hurricane
Bells, and released the Monte Carlo EP in 2012.
In 2017, At The Moment released In For A Ride. It has been hailed as the strongest album
Stampfel’s ever written, filled with personal lyrics about love and uncertainty; gorgeous
harmonies, fluid guitars and driving percussion.
Stampfel has also played all over New York with bands like Screamin’ Rebel Angels, Le Mood,
Marco with Love, and Michael T and the Vanities.
After spending 20 years in New York City, Stampfel moved back to Texas in 2019, started a
family, and has been performing his songs to a new audience.
