On Saturday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m. the Office of U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson (TX-03) will host a FREE workshop on how to finance education beyond high school. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Collin College Office of Financial Aid.
Carolyn Jones, a Collin College Financial Aid Technical Manager and member of the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, will be on hand to lead a presentation on saving, planning, and paying for college. Jones has 24 years of experience connecting students with funding for higher education and will provide valuable resources to guide students through demystifying the financial aid process.
“An education is one of the best, most lasting gifts a person can receive,” said Johnson. “But navigating the many aspects of higher education – particularly financial costs and available assistance and resources – can be daunting. That is why my staff and I will be hosting this workshop for any parent or student who is interested in making their educational dreams a reality.”
