The quickly growing Prosper Independent School District has enrolled its 5,000th student.
Noah Brooks was officially recognized as the 5,000th student to enroll in Prosper ISD during New Student Registration on July 24, according to announcement on the district's website. Brooks will attend Rogers Middle School in the fall.
To celebrate his enrollment, the youngster received several Prosper ISD spirit items, including an "I am the 5,000th student t-shirt”, a Prosper Eagle stuffed animal, a yard sign, window decal, a PISD lunch bag and a $100 savings bond donated by Independent Bank.
“This is a milestone in PISD’s history that we believe needed to be celebrated,” Superintendent Dr. Drew Watkins said on the district's website. “In six short years, PISD has more than doubled its student population, from 2,100 in 2006 to 5,110 today.”
